My creative and look-for-the-good outlook on life fuels my educational philosophy. I pair this with high expectations for all kids and achieve this with a wide-net teaching style, as well as a consistent and extremely loving disciplinary style. After all, learning is almost as important as loving to learn.

With a diversity of occupational experiences (teacher, oilfield worker, web-developer), I am able to tie all in-class education to real-world applications, whether the child has blue collar or white collar aspirations (or wants a life no one has even tried before). I love sharing what I have learned in my life almost as much as I love watching a student learn something in theirs.

I have been honing my word-processing skills since the first word-processor. Advanced

Excel is near and dear to my brain. It brings order to chaos, and my experience extends from managing the personnel files of my crew in the oilfield to 4000 line, multi-page accounting workbooks. Advanced

I promise it is possible to make a PowerPoint presentation that is not boring. Advanced

Apple's response to Word, Pages is a handy word-processor that I use most frequently on my iPhone. Advanced

Mac's Excel, Numbers lacks a little bit of the technologically locked-in intuitiveness but makes up for it with Apple aesthetics. Advanced

Steve Job's PowerPoint app, Keynote, does what PowerPoint does more beautifully, rounding out the iWork suite. Advanced

Though I've only been using the Adobe Suite for a handful of months, Illustrator is my favorite application. Vector graphics just seem so much cleaner! See projects below. Intermediate

InDesign sure is handy when creating multi-page brochures and offers a usability that Publisher can't touch. See projects below. Intermediate

Illustrator's rastery sibling is the bang-for-your-buck app in the Adobe Suite! So much potential within this program that I fear I'll never learn it all! See projects below. Intermediate

The lovely robustness of HTML5 makes front-end web development a breeze. See projects below. Intermediate

CSS3 paired with SCSS can take even the most blasé site and morph it into a virtual art gallery. Throw in some Responsive Web Design for good measure, and smartphone and tablet users love you, too! See projects below. Intermediate

Javascript is the language of mathematicians and logicians. "Is that even possible?" Well, it is with Javascript! I've only scratched the surface, but I'm loving the semantics and the syntax. See projects below. Novice

SketchUp 3D rendering software is an architect's, engineer's, and story-boarder's dream! I've got the knack for teaching kids how to use it. See projects below. Advanced

Prezi adds pizzaz to those pitiful PowerPoint presentations. A user-friendly GUI makes it a snap to pick up. See projects below. Advanced

As technology evolves, its scope broadens and deepens. Fortunately, staying up to date is not only something I enjoy, but something that drives me!
